A tool used by molecular biologists to study gene expression. A chip is coated with potentially millions of spots that each contain the DNA sequence of interest. When a sample is applied (say from a endometrium biopsy for a receptivity assay), the chip will indicate the amounts of each gene expressed in the sample. This can be color coded to show high or low expression.
