Cell culture

Culturing refers to growing cells (including embryos!) in the lab, using specialized liquid called โ€œculture mediaโ€ that contains the necessary components for the cellโ€™s growth. Cell culturing also involves placing the cells in an incubator, thatโ€™s heated to body temperature with humidity. All together, cell culturing helps to mimic the cellโ€™s natural environment so they can grow.
