UWOF #20: Pregnancy with 4CC embryo after endometriosis

After a failed cycle with an aneuploid embryo and a history of endometriosis and tubal removal, a 4CC euploid embryo led to the birth of a healthy baby girl.

ย I want to share my success story with a poor grade embryo, my only chance.

I had to do IVF because I have endometriosis and due to that my fallopian tubes had to be removed. We also found out during the process that there was a male unexplained factor, and so we had to do icsi.

We did our first retrieval and out of 10 eggs retrieved only one made it to blastocyst and PGT-A. Unfortunately, PGT-A showed that it was aneuploid.

After 3 months we did a 2nd retrieval, and out of 17 eggs 3 made it to blastocyst. They were all day 6 and poor quality (4BC, 4CC and 4CC). Between these 3 eggs there was only one euploid, a 4CC that I transferred after 3 months and after a hormonal suppression.

I got pregnant and the baby passed all the tests with flying colors. The baby now is a perfectly healthy 3 months old girl.

I was completely hopeless but in the end it worked out, so in my case embryo grading didnโ€™t mean anything and I suggest all of you to give them a chance
