📊 Story Snapshot
👩 Age: 28📆 Years trying: Not stated
🧬 Embryo: Day 6 3BB, Day 7 4AB (untested)
🧪 Retrievals: 1
🐣 Transfers: 2
💊 Diagnosis: Male factor infertility
📈 Outcome: Healthy boy and girl twins
My husband and I had to do IVF due to male factor issues. I was 28 at the time of the cycle, he was 39. Our cycle yielded 21 eggs retrieved: 16 mature, 12 fertilized and 4 became blastocysts.
My blasts were day 6: 4BB, 3BB, 3BC
And day 7: 4AB
They were all untested due to my age and because I had no known reproductive issues. My first FET was the day 6 4BB, this ended in a pregnancy of unknown origin with betas that went up and down. During my second FET we decided to transfer two embryos.
I was told my day 6 3BB and 3BC embryos were transferred and that the day 7 was being saved for last. I found out over a year later that my second FET had the day 6 3BB and day 7 4AB transferred. A healthy boy and girl (twins) developed from those two embryos.
