PRP is a fluid that is collected from a patient’s blood and centrifuged to remove the red blood cells. The resulting plasma is rich in growth factors and platelets that may have regenerative properties, which can be used in IVF as an add-on. Although it’s controversial, PRP can be administered to the endometrium to possibly improve embryo transfer outcomes, or to the ovaries to possibly improve egg retrieval numbers and quality.
